“Farmer seeks wife”: Inka Bause talks about giving up | Entertainment

For almost 20 years, Inka Bause (54) has been helping lonely farmers find love in “Bauer sucht Frau” on TV. The summit show without the friendly host? Unthinkable for many fans!

Since the first episode (aired in 2005). Inka Bause is there with a lot of heart when love-starved singles enthusiastically open letters from their love candidates. She encourages them when they meet at the barn festival and often has to comfort them when it becomes clear after farm week that things are unfortunately not going to work out with their new love.

Just before the new and now 19th season starts next Monday on RTL (from 8:15 pm), Inka Bause suddenly talks about quitting.

▶︎ When asked if she had ever considered quitting the show, Bause said, “The question hasn’t come up for me until now. Every year I find out whether I can moderate or not because I don’t have an exclusive contract.” This means that year after year it is decided again whether Inka will continue to be the nation’s pawn matchmaker. “I wouldn’t want it any other way.” , says Bause according to “Weser Kurier” in an interview with the “Teleschau” agency – and compares his situation to a marriage. “I always want to be able to go. I’m not a person who feels obligated to stay married.”

If things didn’t continue for her, Inka Bause wouldn’t be upset: “For example, a new station manager could tell me that I’m being replaced by a younger presenter. And believe me: I would be happy for the new colleague because at that time I also had people who gave me a chance.”

She is a person “who always looks at the good things and is grateful for 20 great years,” says Inka Bause. “After that, I’m going to look for something else and dedicate myself more to myself. music and my personal life.”

But now it’s all about all the power of love the new farmerswho no longer want to be alone. As always, Inka is really looking forward to it.

“I approach these people I know with as much curiosity as the viewers,” explains Inka Bause in an interview with RTL about the new season.

“Fortunately, curiosity hasn’t waned in 19 years of ‘Farmer Seeks a Woman’ because every year I’m surprised by the incredible people I meet. What different, complicated and funny creatures. It never gets boring.”
