Are you a Game Pass member and still looking for something high-quality to play over the weekend? Currently, 11 games nominated in different categories at the Game Awards are available for subscription. There are some real hits and other titles you can have fun with. We will tell you what they are and in which categories they were nominated.
These are the highlights among the games recommended for Game Pass
Here we present the titles that we can recommend especially for you.
Forza Motorsport in testing: Was it worth the long wait?
Nominated in the categories: Best sports/racing game, innovation in accessibility
Forza Motorsport didn’t necessarily impress with its innovation in the test, but it’s clear that it’s a real surprise for all racing game fans. For our tester Tobi, the optimized driving physics are the best in the entire history of the series and the motivating leveling up, upgrading and tuning of cars also works well.
As expected, the chic presentation is convincing across the board with the detailed car models and really nice weather effects. The title also offers many driving features and accessibility options.
High Fidelity Racing
Hi-Fi Rush is a rhythm from Devil May Cry and is shown in the 5-minute gameplay trailer
Nominated in the categories: Best Art Direction, Best Audio Design, Best Soundtrack and Music, Innovation in Accessibility, Best Action Game
Hi-Fi Rush was not just a shadow drop, but also a real surprise hit. You can expect a very fun rhythm/music action game with great anime graphics. You take on the role of Chai, whose heart has been replaced by an MP3 player and who is therefore being hunted by an evil company that sees this as a “defect”.
The story is told with a lot of humor and it is no surprise that the title is nominated in the soundtrack and audio design categories, among others. The rock background music comes from bands like The Black Keys.
Dead Space Remake – Test video for the big new edition – Test video for the big new edition
Nominated in the categories: Better audio design
The fact that the Dead Space remake is only nominated in the “Best Audio Design” category may seem less impressive at first glance, but sound design is actually extremely important for horror games. Dead Space works as a real shocker not only because of the dark corridors of the ISG Ishimura mining ship and the merciless Necromorphs, but also because of the strange and disturbing background noise.
The new edition looks much better than the original. To play you need Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass or EA Play.
Lies of P – Test video for Pinocchio’s soulslike
Nominated in the categories: Best art direction, best RPG
Strictly speaking, Lies of P is an action RPG, or soulslike, and not exactly what many people imagine a classic RPG to be. But it does very well in this genre, as we found in our testing (and in the video embedded above).
The Souls game reinterprets the story of Pinocchio and sets it in the ruthless steampunk city of Krat. The doll we play not only defends itself against automatons and monsters with weapons that can be combined with handles and blades, but also with prosthetic arm devices.
Sea of stars
Sea of \u200b\u200bStars in the test video: the next RPG hit
Nominated in the categories: Best Indie Game, Best RPG
Sea of Stars, on the other hand, is a classic RPG with pixel graphics that has received very strong ratings. You can expect turn-based battles, but they will be expanded with a real-time component that requires perfect timing.
The fantasy story revolves around two brothers who have powers they hope to use to stop a power-hungry alchemist.
These games are also included
- Star field (Nominated in categories: Best RPG Game)
- City Skylines 2 (Nominated in categories: Best Sim/Strategy Game)
- Cocoon (Nominated in the categories: Best Indie Game, Best Indie Debut)
- No man’s sky (Nominated in categories: Best Community Support)
- Venba (Nominated in the categories: Best Indie Debut, Games for Impact)
- party animals (Nominated in the categories: Best Family Game, Best Multiplayer Game)
This selection also includes recommended games that you can have a lot of fun with. We don’t even need to say anything more about Bethesda’s new RPG Starfield. Venba, on the other hand, may mean nothing to you, but it’s a short, recommended title that you can complete in about an hour. The story follows an Indian family who emigrates to Canada and reminisces while cooking.
